“Moh’kins’tsis” is the traditional Blackfoot name given to where the Bow River meets the Elbow River. This land is now known as the City of Calgary. The Bow Valley Ranche, situated on land adjacent to the Bow River, acknowledges the traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprising the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai First Nations), as well as the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations). The City of Calgary is also home to Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3.

Artisan Gardens Artwork
The Artisan Gardens presents 72 framed original art works as anchors of benches. All the original art pieces celebrate three main themes: First Nations, Family and the natural surroundings of the Park.

Branded Patio
The Branded Patio, located directly behind The Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant's grand salon, features 87 mosaic steppingstones, hand-crafted by Bragg Creek artist, Pamela Rodger.

About Us
The Bow Valley Ranche is designated as a Provincial historic resource since 2001.
Nestled in a serene meadow landscape, 17 minutes from downtown Calgary, you can find the ranche in Fish Creek Provincial Park. The Ranche House was restored and opened as a fine dining restaurant in 2000
Annie's Cafe
This quaint farmhouse was moved to its current spot in 1905 and once housed the ranch foreman Billy Bannister, his wife, Annie, and their familiy. Today you can enjoy a wholesome lunch or a special treat while sitting on Annie’s sunny front porch.

The Ranche House
Restaurant
The Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant is known for curating a culinary program that is second to none. Backed by one of Calgary’s top executive chefs, the menu boasts a Canadian theme featuring Rocky Mountain game meats, local harvest vegetables and—when weather permits—a full vegetable and herb garden, grown directly on site.
Experience one of the best high-end restaurants in Calgary, with superb, locally produced cuisine, an extensive wine selection and exceptional, professional service.
